Allen Professional Search/ The People Bank, Tillsonburg location is currently recruiting for an Accounting Supervisor for one our clients in the Construction Industry.
This position is temporary – permanent 30 -35 hrs/ week.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Overview:
Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization. Assist in the planning, controlling, reporting and measuring information and assets of the company. The accounting supervisor provides critical financial information to management in order to ensure forecasting and other key measurables are met based on business needs.
Essential Duties:
· Oversee all general accounting operations
· Assist in the preparation and reporting documents to department personnel
· Manage budgets and finances of the establishment
· Accurate and efficient preparation of month end Financial Statements and reports.
· Coordinate the year-end audit and assist in preparation of year-end financials in conjunction with outside accounting firms
· Responsible for preparation and regular review of job descriptions for staff within this department.
· Maintain and examine all receivables and payables entries, collection of accounts receivable
· Authorization for preparation of month-end cheque runs
· Prepare month end invoicing, prepare and analyze sales, cost of sales.
· Coordinate invoicing, monitor and analyze financial results with budget-to-actual for various jobs
· Demonstrate ability to produce cash flow forecasts
· Responsible for the preparation, filing and resolving issues of the various required company financial reports, tax submissions, government submittals, WSIB reporting, employee benefit packages and insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities
· Train and instruct employees in job duties and company policies or arrange for training to be provided
QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years senior level accounting experience in a similar industry
Candidate must be familiar with and have experience with accounting software packages
WAGE:
$25/hr + 4% vacation per hour depending on experience
Hours are very flexible 30 -35/week
