Description

The People Bank Ottawa Branch is currently searching for a Bilingual Collection Manager for our client in the Gatineau Area.

Feel like a change and looking to relocate? Our client is a National Organization in the industry for the last 30 years and is expanding. They are 8 years standing in the Gatineau Area.

All persons wishing to apply to this position should meet the following requirements:
• Bilingual in both French and English (written and spoken)
• Good computer skills
• Extensive Knowledge of collection legislation and practices
• Previous supervisory experience in a 3rd party collection agency.

The client is specifically looking for an individual with 3rd party collections experience. You would have had to work for a third party company that is collecting from customers on behalf of the creditor.There are government regulations that apply specifically to 3rd party collections that you must thoroughly understand, especially since you will have to communicate with those regulating bodies with little or no notice. Be accustomed to working in the fast-paced, competitive environment of a collection agency. You will also need management experience in the industry to be capable of performing their responsibilities as the branch manager.

Job Description :
As an effective Collections Manager, you will use your keen sense of business knowledge and exceptional organization skills to ensure that your collections team is meeting performance goals while maintaining compliance with company policy and procedures. You will be responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of your staff, including payroll, attendance, recruitment and training. You will use your superior customer service skills to liaise with clients such as banks and credit card companies. You will use your stellar interpersonal skills to handle unexpected issues and customer complaints.

Branch Hours
• Monday 8:30 am – 7:30 pm
• Tuesday 8:30 am – 7:30 pm
• Wednesday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
• Thursday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
• Friday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
• Saturday 8:00 am – 11:00 am, mandatory once per month
37.5 hours mandated, overtime encouraged to achieve targets, manager’s hours are to be negotiated.

Must have significant experience in the collection industry and management
