The People Bank’s Ottawa Branch is currently recruiting for a long term contract position for a DocuCare Specialist .
We are requesting the services of a Communications Specialist or equivalent to lead the planning for the generation of internal and external public relations activities. The communications specialist will act as a key advisor in all matters related to communications.
This person, or group, will be called upon to provide strategic advice and execute communications tactics
The mandate of the communications specialist will include the following:
Provide strategic communications advice to the CEO and to the Board;
When indicated, keep abreast of the activities of the various working committees and support their communications needs;
Coordinate the dissemination of information to key stakeholders
Work in partnership with other communications specialists;
When appropriate, establish media relations strategies to celebrate key milestones
Provide strategic advice on sensitive issues arise;
Provide direction for content during the development of a website;
Manage the “brand”;
Write internal and external communiqués
Additional Information
The consultant’s knowledge, skills and expertise in the following areas:
Recent experience by the Consultant in Communications Specialist Services in large multi-faceted organizations, particularly the Health Care Sector,
especially multi-site hospitals/organizations
Proven success by the Consultant in the provision of the service
Experience with multiple communications strategies and technology
Knowledgeable in internal hospital communications and the relationship of
communications with the various client/customer service requirements
The Consultant’s experience and knowledge working in Health Care
