Allen Professional Search, London Office, is currently recruiting for our client who is seeking an Information Systems Technician to work at various client sites. The position is located in London and area. Length of initial project is 4-6 months and the successful candidate will become a long-term team member.
Qualifications & Experience
Education Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- MUST embrace continuing education and development of technical skills
Soft Skill Requirements:
- Good independent problem solver
- "It can be done" attitude
- Willingness to challenge ideas and "think outside the box”
- Fluent in all forms of Internet communications including Google Talk, Skype, Google Wave, SMS, etc
Technical Skill Requirements:
- Able to type at 45 WPM or better
- Fluent in Windows, Mac & Linux from a usability perspective
- be able to understand intuitively what a non-technical customer experiences
- Strong technical aptitude in GNU/Linux, Linux server experience
- Willingness to contribute to the open source community
- Strong technical aptitude in areas of networking, firewalls, Network Address Translation, proxies
- Existing knowledge of Terminal Services in general
- Existing Linux LTSP knowledge or comfort to learn it quickly
Language:
Ability to speak French (especially as a FIRST language) an asset!
