The People Bank, London Office is currently recruiting for our client, for an Injection Lead Hand to work in a progressive plastic injection company. This position is located in Goderich.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Monitoring the running production in accordance with production schedule
Signing off line clearances and production orders
Controlling the machine parameters on the basis of the manufacturing master data sheet and the target specification (cycle time, weight of shot, etc.)
Monitoring the operating staff; giving instructions concerning the daily production routine (material, packaging, labelling, etc.) determining the scope of duties of the machine operator
Elimination of production issues on the machines, moulds and other equipment
Reporting scrap production numbers
Reduction of scrap
Informing the maintenance staff/production manager about necessary mould repairs
Informing the scheduling department about production downtimes
Change of material and modifying moulds in accordance with the production schedule considering the target specifications
Responsible for general cleanliness and order in the plastic injection area
Responsible for lubricating the plastic injection machines and the change of oil filters
Providing and returning IML-foils
Returning master batch to the mixing area
Communication between shifts
Oversees safe usage of machinery and equipment
Lead, Oversee, Ensure safe work practises at all times
Other duties as assigned by management
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
Proven Leadership Ability
Due Diligence Training
2 Years maintenance experience (and or on the job work experience)
Knowledge of injection moulding processes
Organization skills
Proven communication skills both verbal and written
Team Player
HACCP training
SALARY:
Pay is $18.00 to $20.00 an hour
