The People Bank is currently recruiting for the position of IT Support Technician/ Server Administrator. This position is with a company in the health care industry. Our client is seeking an individual with 3-5 years experience in IT Support/Server Administration and relevant post secondary education. Must have a real passion for what you do! This position is ideal for those who have worked in smaller to medium sized work environments. The successful candidate will be used to performing a wide variety of duties.
REQUIREMENTMENTS:
• Great interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of accuracy
• Analytical thinker and good problem solver
• Degree or Diploma in a computer related field
• Criminal check is required
• Good knowledge of PIPEDA regulations pertaining to protection of personal information
• Experienced in administration/troubleshooting a Windows 2003 or Windows 2008 server network, including Active Directory
• Experienced in supporting Windows XP and MS Office 2003 or 2007
• Vmware virtualization
• Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL server and Microsoft Sharepoint
• Powershell scripting and Microsoft Vista
• Ensure continuous learning to keep up to date with latest IT developments in the field
DUTIES:
• Provide support to all users, tracking all support calls and resolving issues quickly
• Create training materials and provide training for existing and new IT systems
• Assist with testing
• Fix bus and user problems
• Occasionally travel to other office locations to resolve problems as required.
• Administer user accounts, database accounts and remote access
• Ensure security systems are maintained
• Assist with developing disaster plans for IT infrastructure
• Liaise with MTS internet, Wiband, Sonicwall, Microsoft for support as needed
• Be responsible for Winnipeg archival tape back-up
• Install software, patches, and updates as necessary to keep software and hardware running smoothly
