Placement Group Calgary is currently looking for an ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE for our client, a leading provider of customs brokerage, freight forwarding, warehousing, distribution and consulting services to North American importers and exporters. This position will be responsible for a territory that is based out of Calgary, covers all of southern Alberta and will be run from your home-based office.

Responsibilities:
- Contact identified potential customers by telephone to book appointments for sales presentations.
- Prepare presentations that are geared to client needs.
- Maintain necessary records and reports.
- Contact existing customers to maintain a working relationship.
- Handle customer service problem complaints as necessary.
- Maintain current knowledge of related goals, objectives, processes and procedures and sales and marketing techniques.
- Other job related duties as required.
- Travel within the territory – about 30% out of Calgary.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum two years sales experience related to Customs, Brokerage, Transportation or Compliance required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong presentation, human relations and negotiation skills
- Ability to work towards longer term goals
- Ability to organize and prioritize large amounts of information
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S.
