Job Title Siebel Business Analyst.

Description

The People Bank has an immediate requirement for a Siebel Business Analyst for a permanent role here in Ottawa.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collects and Documents Customer and Business Requirements. Conducts the necessary workshops to aide in the collection of the requirements.

• Understand the users’ Business Requirements and turn them into use cases which can be translated into Siebel screens, views and workflow to provide a solution for the requirement

• Is responsible for the creation and completion of the Functional Specification

• Works with the Development and Test Teams to ensure that the requirements are documented in a manner such that, both functional requirements and test cases can be derived from them.

• Should assist in the testability and traceability of the documented requirements.

• Review all available project documentation to determine plan for requirements collection and management and help create estimates for project completion.

• Works with Software Project Manager and software project team to change and improve the documentation to fit standard requirements management processes.

• Analyzing and assessing how requirements will affect project scope, timelines and risk through a change management process

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Bachelor's degree supplemented by coursework in Industrial Engineering, MIS, Computer Science, and Mathematics or other related technical field is required. Equivalent work experience may be substituted.

• Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience

• Experience with Document Management and Call Center application requirements gathering tools and methods with an emphasis on at least Siebel V7.5 or later

• BA Siebel Certification desirable

• Experience with CMMi Level III and RUP desired.

• Well practiced in facilitating business partners requirements meetings is essential.

• Knowledge of developing use cases is required

• Should have a solid understanding of Change Management policies and practices

• Professional experience in software requirements management and testing activities preferred.

• Experience of working with Public Sector clients is required.

• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of tools and personal computer operating environments is required.

• Demonstrated ability to be an independent and reliable worker is required. Works well alone, as well as participating and sharing in a team environment.

• IT integration experience and software/system integration and knowledge of systems life cycle is required.

• Self –motivating, team-player, and exhibit people management skills & techniques, and able to work with minimal supervision

• Honest, ethical, sociable, diligent, energetic and proven achiever

• Demonstrated customer service, leadership, and team interaction skills are required.

• Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills are required.

• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills are required and ability to facilitate work groups.

• Must have or be eligible for an Enhanced Reliability Clearance.
