Description

The People Bank, a Division of Design Group Staffing, is currently recruiting for a National Sales Manager – Canada.

This firm was just named as one of Canada’s fastest growing company by Profit magazine 2008 and in 2009.

They have a current opening for a National Sales Manager. Reporting to the Director of Sales, qualified applicants will possess the ability to maximize sales and profit dollars with all accounts. Set annual sales objectives for territories. Ensure National merchandising and Marketing objectives are executed through the Sales Team. Allocate expense budgets and manage the business within these budgets. Provide overall direction, support, mentoring and leadership to the Canadian Sales Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning
• Ensure Sales Team executes Marketing and advertising strategies
• Ensure professional and productive planning process developed and executed through Sales Team
• Establish timely and consistent planning goals & strategies
• Ensure annual business plans developed and presented for Top Accounts
• Provide suggestions for maximizing sales & profit objectives, including new strategies
• Identify areas of opportunity in current customers
• Review sales actuals vs. objectives and recommend any needed action overall, by territory and account
• Coordinate sales efforts with Sales Reps who call on local stores
• Provide new product feedback for new items and on planned products, including pricing & projections
• Competitive activity – monitor, report and create programs to offset competitive advances
• Identify and manage new channel opportunities
• Manage and distribute sales reports on account activity, weekly, monthly
• Analyze sales reports and provide strategic insight to Sales Team & Director of Sales

Allocate and manage all expense budgets
• Allocate expense budgets to Sales Team. Monitor and control expenditures so budgets are not
exceeded.
• Revise and adjust budgets within Canada based on territory and accounts needs in conjunction with business priorities.

Monitor & Support
• Provide overall direction to the Sales Team
• Lead Sales Meetings as required
• Ensure account coverage goals are met or exceeded
• Responsible for hiring, training, motivating and evaluating all sales staff
• Lead and implement the vision of by translating the vision into meaningful direction
• Overseeing workflow processes, procedures, deadlines, quality standards
• Ensure new products are listed with all targeted accounts
• Provide feedback on new items, strategy, pricing and projections
• Monitor new product success distribution & progress. Report results
• Resolve problems with a high level of professionalism, leadership, customer service, focusing on Sales Team support and most importantly customer satisfaction


General
• Provide support to the Sales Team, Retailers and Consumers ensuring an exceptional customer service experience.
Resolving customer/account complaints and issues
• Other duties as requested by the Director of Sales
• Provide other sales reports as required by the Director of sales
• Overseeing workflow processes, procedures, deadlines, quality standards

Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience with National & Key accounts across the country.
• Working knowledge of Loblaw’s, Shoppers.
• Exceptional Microsoft Office knowledge
• University or College Degree in Business or Marketing
• 5-7 years of previous experience in field sales and managing people
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Comfort and skill in problem solving and resolving customer issues, good decision maker
• Excellent Leadership skills, with strong adaptability
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Strong integrity and initiative
• Previous CRM use an asset
• Bilingualism is an asset
