The People Bank Markham Office is currently recruiting for our client in the Financial industry who is seeking a Mortgage Underwriter. The position pays $25.00 and is located in Markham. This is a temporary opportunity until the end of 2010.
Job Description:
As a Credit Analyst, the incumbent will evaluate personal credit applications in accordance with policy and procedures, authorize credit within designated limits while providing a high level of customer service to our business partners. To operate competently and successfully, it is essential the candidate possess a thorough knowledge of personal lending principles, products and policies. The Credit Analyst will look for alternatives to support business opportunities while balancing risk to the bank and provide credit recommendations to management for applications which exceed your credit authority. The role requires flexibility to support hours of operation and must be adaptable to working in an environment of ongoing change.
Job Requirements:
• Availability is Mon – Fri 8am – 8pm Sat 7am – 3 pm
• University degree or College diploma.
• Customer service experience in a lending environment.
• Above average analytical skills.
• Strong aptitude for problem solving.
• Good time management skills.
• Strong team player.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional telephone communication skills.
• Must be flexible to work in a shift environment.
• A clear criminal record and good credit history will be required

$25.00 /hour
