Community Involvement

The People Bank plays an active and important role in helping to build the prosperity of the communities in which we live and work, by volunteering time, money, and expertise on a regular basis for worthy causes and local organizations. In addition, we also hold internal fundraising events that help demonstrate and strengthen the level of community involvement from our staff members. Some of the worthy causes we participate in are as follows:


Ontario Track 3 Ski Association
The Ontario Track 3 Ski Association is a volunteer non-profit organization that teaches children and youth with disabilities to downhill ski.

Drinking and Driving Petition - Young Driver Law Change
The tragic loss of teenage lives in a Muskoka car accident this summer was believed to be a direct result of drinking and driving. A change in the law will deter some of our precocious teens from making similar poor decisions in the future. Help Mr. McGuinty make a wise decision in this upcoming session of the Ontario Legislature by supporting the online petition.

The Weekend To End Breast Cancer
For one amazing weekend, thousands of women and men will unite to walk 60 km in a bold display of courage and commitment. It's a weekend of hope, to honour lives lost, celebrate survivors, and help bring an end to breast cancer to those who so desperately need it.
