Description

Manage day to day project activities of small to medium complexity or units/phases of a larger complex project Plan, execute, control and close out project against defined scope and budget. Utilize accepted standards and procedures. Maintain team relationships and team coaching and development. Manage stakeholder expectations. Manage risk and ensure compliance.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will lead a team in high level research and analysis of business requirements, detailed design specification, program code development, testing and deployment of small to medium complexity projects.
Key accountabilities are:

  • Manage the day to day development and support activities.
  • Creation of detailed project plans as required including delivery of the applicable SDLC and PMLC documents.
  • Work with the delivery and support teams to deliver solutions to the business partner and meet the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project.
  • Provide effective and timely communications to the IT manager, business partner, key stakeholders and the project team.
  • Status reporting, project change control, continual risk/issue assessment/ management, and escalation/resolution are essential.
  • Collaborate with the management team to manage the overall project portfolio and challenges facing the team and participate in the development of strategy to address gaps.
  • Manage a team that consists of IT specialists and developers.
  • Travel to Toronto and Mississauga (1 to 2 days per month)

  • Leadership experience
  • MS Project
  • PMI Certification an asset
  • PMLC
  • Powerpoint
  • PM tools
  • SDLC
  • Visio
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing IT projects
  • Full life cycle development experience
  • Experience with proven project methodology tools
  • Expertise in MS Project
  • Strong business, interpersonal and communication skills

Skills that would be a definite asset and would be preferential:

  • ATB/ABM knowledge
  • ICTS knowledge
