The People Bank is recruiting for a Vice-President of Strategic Management. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in planning, implementing and directing strategy that leads to sustainable business growth. The ideal candidate will bring to the table innovative ideas and tactics that will positively shape the future of the organization.
The organization seeks an individual with the ability to build strong relationships and articulate strategy in support of business teams as they develop new concepts and ideas for improved performance. The candidate must truly act as a chameleon and be ready to support new mission areas or changes in organizational priorities and assignments. The incumbent will monitor all aspects under the strategic business planning model, from inception to deployment and implementation.
Responsibilities
-responsible for the development and overseeing of policies, processes and procedures for strategic business planning.
-work closely with CEO and senior management to define short and long range corporate strategy.
- review current business practices and determine which of these will yield the highest return on investment.
- act as an in-house consultant on strategic analysis and provide recommendations.
-assist senior management in the preparation of business plans, reports, budgets and forecasts.
- review and evaluate capital requests from business units to determine if they align with corporate objectives.
-stay apprised of economic conditions and market changes, and appropriately realign operations.
Qualifications
- minimum of 10 years experience as key driver of strategic management in a large organization.
- An MBA and/or CMA, CA, CGA will be considered while Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certifications are considered assets.
- Strong analytic and project management skills are a must to execute enterprise wide initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to develop presentations and act as mediator to arrive at consensus amongst participants when needed.
- Knowledge of measurement methods, tools and techniques including benchmarking, metrics and other advanced performance measurement techniques, including Balanced Scorecard.
-Must have an above average understanding of manufacturing, business processes and information technology.
