The People Bank Ottawa Office is currently searching for a Warehouse Worker for our client based in Nepean.
Position Responsibilities :
Monday to Friday – Day shift.
-Perform a variety of duties in a warehouse setting, such as picking orders and loading trucks
-Perform routine inspection on assigned equipment, refer defects or repairs to supervisor and, clean equipment
-Process and prepare paperwork for shipping of products including bills of lading, shipping invoices, and freight costs
-Enter receiving information into the inventory system
-Other duties including operating lift equipment, loading trailers and assembling orders
-Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
- Occasionally deliver orders in a company vehicle
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- Must have Class “G” license and a clean abstract
- Positive attitude, top notch work ethic and a team player
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques
- Able to perform heavy manual tasks (lifting up to 75 lbs) under varying weather conditions
