Description

 Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry is recruiting for a dynamic Welding Technologist to join their team. This position is located in London, Ontario and is an excellent opportunity with a progressive company.

Responsible for the continuous development and troubleshooting of welding processes and technology involving laser weld products. The continuous improvement and overall ownership of the process is key. Ensure the quality of the product being produced, maintaining the equipment and meeting/exceeding the production requirements.
- OEE of welding equipment, developing and implementing new ideas to assist in continuous improvement.
- Set up of machines, trouble shooting, preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
- Adheres to both privacy policies and health and safety regulations.
- Maintains clean and safe work environment according to the 5s policies and standards.
- May involve training, mentoring, guidance and empowering team members in department.
- Report /Communicate and participate in meetings.

OSSD diploma or equivalent
Welding Technology Diploma or Electronics/Mechanical Tech Diploma or equivalent
2 years related experience involving robotics, laser and troubleshooting
Knowledge/Concepts of robotics in an automated environment- ABB specifically
Online Process Monitoring, Vision Systems
Siemens S7
Must have a mature outlook to take ownership of process
Must be available for shift work and have flexibility to work up to 60 hours per week

Starting wage- 19.97 per hour
Benefits after 3 month probationary period
